Michael Werner Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of paintings of nudes by Eugène Leroy (1910-2000). Emerging radiant from thick layers of paint or lurking, barely discernible amidst peaks and crevices of color, Leroy's nudes appear to be sculpted from the paint itself.

Presented simultaneously in three Manhattan galleries, this special exhibition is the first significant presentation of Nay’s work in the United States since his death and offers a rare opportunity to consider the work of this unique artist.

Buzz Kill

Michael Werner Gallery is pleased to present Buzz Kill, an exhibition of new works by Aaron Curry. Buzz Kill is Aaron Curry’s second exhibition at Michael Werner Gallery, New York, and his most ambitious exhibition to date. A monumental sculpture forms the centerpiece of Buzz Kill: extending from the four corners of the gallery, and reaching from the floor to the ceiling, this massive painted aluminum sculpture divides the exhibition space into individual “rooms” through which viewers can move. Buzz Kill is accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue.

Nerve Ending is the artist's first solo exhibition in a New York gallery and coincides with his solo exhibition, Head Gas, at the New Museum. A fully illustrated catalogue, with text by Dieter Roelstraete, accompanies the exhibition.
