Black Swan

Artists Aaron Curry and Thomas Houseago curate an exhibition of major sculptures by gallery artists, including Beuys, Höckelmann, Immendorff, Lüpertz, Kirkeby and Penck, and featuring new works of their own created in response to their selections. Black Swan will be shown in Michael Werner's London project space and is open by appointment. Please call the gallery for additional information.

Sigmar Polke: Lens Paintings

A major exhibition of important new paintings by Sigmar Polke opens at Galerie Michael Werner in Berlin on November 1. Sigmar Polke: Lens Paintings presents a body of work the artist first exhibited at Kunstmuseum Siegen last year on the occasion of his being awarded the prestigious Rubens Prize in painting. These unique paintings have not been shown outside of Germany. Sigmar Polke: Lens Paintings travels to The Arts Club of Chicago from January 22 to April 17 and then to Michael Werner Gallery in New York from April 29 to June 20, 2009. The exhibition is accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue featuring a text by Chrissie Iles.
